Getting young talents ready to take off!

Many students need help to discover which career best aligns with their interests, skills, and goals. This process can be complex as it involves exploring job content and activities and identifying personal strengths. Gathering information about various professions, training, and study opportunities is essential while considering personal interests and dreams. This process requires time, inspiration, and often professional guidance.

The German-language study orientation programme “Talent Take Off,” which we implement in close cooperation with the Fraunhofer Society, is specifically designed for STEM-enthusiastic students and undergraduates who want to delve deeper into STEM fields and careers. It consists of three modules tailored to your age group and experience level.

Talent Take Off – Getting Started

For students from grade 10 onwards

Choice of studies – all clear? You are enthusiastic about experiments, numbers and formulas, actually about (almost) everything that has to do with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) – but you don’t know which of the many possible fields of study you should choose? Then sign up for “TTO – Getting Started“, a compact six-day course offered by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and Femtec. The programme is held in German.

The participation fee is €70 with an early booking discount and €100 thereafter (including accommodation, full board, transfers in Berlin, training and workshops, and leisure activities). The price can be reduced if needed.

The next Talent Take Off event will take place from 28th October – 2nd November 2024, in Berlin.

Talent Take Off – Building Networks

For School and first-year Students

Are you interested in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, or technology and eager to engage in research? At “Talent Take Off – Networking”, you’ll meet numerous talents from various disciplines across Germany. Join us to exchange ideas on exciting research topics, network with peers, and build your professional network. During this four-day event, you’ll also attend expert lectures on current research projects at Fraunhofer and participate in workshops focusing on research, academic studies, and career paths in science.

The participation fee is €70 with an early bird discount, rising to €100 thereafter (including accommodation at Wannseeforum Berlin, full board, transfers within Berlin, leisure activities, lectures, and workshops). The price can be reduced if needed. The programme is held in German.

The next Talent Take Off – Building Networks event will be held from July 3rd to 6th, 2025, in Berlin.
